Green Initiatives: Eurasian Bank Continues to Green the Regions of Kazakhstan

The environmental initiatives of Eurasian Bank continue in different regions of the country. Another campaign was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where the Bank employees planted coniferous trees on the territory of the City Cancer Center.

Earlier, the Bank employees had already participated in the landscaping of social and public facilities in Kokshetau and Taldykorgan. Gradually, such projects are becoming a sustainable practice for the Bank: branches are gradually joining environmental initiatives, contributing to the development of a more comfortable and greener urban environment.

The Bank considers landscaping of social facilities not just as landscaping, but as a contribution to the quality of people’s lives and the atmosphere around institutions, where comfort and support are especially important.

Gulmira Kozhamzharova, Director of the Eurasian Bank Branch in Ust-Kamenogorsk, noted:

“Environmental projects always leave behind something more than just new trees. They create a sense of participation, caring and attention to people. It is important for us that such initiatives gradually become a good tradition for all cities of Kazakhstan,” she said.

The Cancer Center also emphasized the importance of the project:

“Not only the treatment is very important for patients, but also the atmosphere that surrounds them. When there is more greenery around, the space becomes warmer and calmer. “Such initiatives remind people that they are taken care of not only by doctors and loved ones, but also by the whole city,” the Center’s management team commented.

Eurasian Bank is a member of the Mastercard Priceless Planet Coalition global program, which unites more than 150 organizations worldwide. By 2030, its participants plan to plant 100 million trees worldwide.

In addition to participating in the Priceless Planet Coalition, the Bank issues a special Eco Card, transaction bonuses on which are used for landscaping projects.

Over the past year, more than 1, 000 trees have been planted in Almaty, Astana and other cities of the country. For the Bank and its employees, this is becoming a good and sustainable tradition that not only improves the urban environment, but also unites people around the idea of caring for nature.
