Eurasian Bank, together with the NU Impact Foundation and the Sustainable Development Earth Foundation, conducted an environmental campaign on the territory of the future NU Park at Nazarbayev University. As part of the initiative, the participants planted 50 Siberian fir trees, which will become part of the new green alley.
NU Park is a large-scale project implemented within the framework of the Nazarbayev University open campus concept. It is a modern public space with green alleys, sports and creative areas, places for walking, relaxing and working in the open air. The Park will become a part of the daily life of the city and a new point of attraction for students, residents and guests of the capital.
“For Eurasian Bank, participation in such initiatives is a contribution not only to the environment, but also to the quality of the urban environment and the future of the younger generation. NU Park is a very important and inspiring project that combines education, culture and caring for people. We are happy that today, together with our partners, we have contributed to the creation of a space that will become a place of attraction, development and recreation for students and residents of the city,” said Assiya Kuldybayeva, Managing Director and Director of the Bank Branch in Astana.
Eurasian Bank pays special attention to environmental and social initiatives aimed at developing a sustainable urban environment. The Bank is also a member of the Mastercard Priceless Planet Coalition global program, which supports projects for landscaping and ecosystem restoration. In addition, the Bank issues a special Eco Card, part of the bonuses from which are allocated to environmental initiatives and tree planting projects in Kazakhstan.
Over the past year, more than 1, 000 trees have been planted in Almaty, Astana and other cities of the country. For the Bank and its employees, this is becoming a good and sustainable tradition that not only improves the urban environment, but also unites people around the idea of caring for nature.
