Eurasian Bank, together with QID Ten Quat and the QRM Association of Risk Managers of Kazakhstan, held an expert event on the topic of Investing in a Rapidly Changing World: Sustainability Strategies, Risks and Opportunities.

The meeting was organized for representatives of business, the financial sector, the investment community, international experts, independent directors and specialists in the field of corporate governance and risk management.

The event was organized by Eurasian Bank and hosted by Assiya Kuldybayeva, Managing Director of the Bank branch in Astana.

“Today, the sustainability of business directly depends on the ability to quickly adapt to changes, build efficient cooperation and respond to new challenges in a timely manner. That is why it is especially important to create platforms for professional dialogue between business, the financial sector and the expert community,” she stressed.

In the context of high global uncertainty, technological changes and growing economic risks, the participants discussed modern approaches to investment, sustainable business development and risk management. The focus was on capital protection, technological transformation, corporate governance, energy and food security, as well as the role of human capital in the economy of the future.

During the discussion, experts noted that today the sustainability of business is determined not only by financial results, but also by the ability of companies to quickly adapt to changes, efficiently build management processes, develop strong teams and respond to external challenges in a timely manner.

Special attention was paid to the international view of Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a region with high investment potential. The meeting participants emphasized the growing interest in the region from the international investment community and noted the importance of further developing financial infrastructure, corporate governance and the business environment.

The meeting was moderated by Gulzhan Bekmagambetova, Chairman of the QRM Association, and Dina Urastayeva, member of the QID Ten Quat Committee.

Among the participants of the event were representatives of the Astana International Financial Center, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan, members of the Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy at the Astana Akimat Office, as well as representatives of the banking and corporate sectors.
